This was an exercise in class where we were learning about Public Relations and the exercise had some questions:
In groups, discuss your favourite film(s). Are there any opportunities to explore it from a tourism point of view?
If so, how would you promote this?
How effective is promotion in conveying what the film is about?
Does it attract you to see the film? If so, why? If not, why not?

Columbus (2017). dir. Kogonada.
I would explore Columbus (2017) through a 3D-Concept museum that's supplemented with some visual video aids similar to newer concept museums in the 21st century. The film is completely set in Columbus, Ohio and the two characters who lead the film talk about their relationship with Columbus as a place and its metaphorical meaning to them.

Van Gogh Digital Exhibition.
2. I would promote this "Columbus Exhibition" by creating a comprehensive social media campaign and giving promotions to attract more customers and to ensure the popularity of this, I would also invite the cast and crew of the film to make appearances at the exhibition.
3. The aforementioned promotion plans would be very effective as they happen to be similar to the Van Gogh approach and they did yield very positive results.

4. It definitely attracts me to see the film again, as this immersive experience serves as a flood of fond memories I have from seeing the film and experiencing it in this visceral way is a new, powerful way to connect with a film so near and dear to my heart.
